The Summit County Common Pleas Court does not accept any faxed or electronic filings at this time.

| Civil and Foreclosure Complaints |
|
The cost to file a Civil Complaint is $325.00 and $375.00 to file a Foreclosure Complaint, plus $25.00 fee for each summons the clerk is instructed to issue. It is required that the original Complaint be filed along with one (1) copy per defendant. An additional 2 copies are required, one of which will be returned for your records. All complaints will be served by certified mail unless instructed in writing otherwise. A Case Designation form is also required. They can be obtained from the Clerk's Office 330-643-2211. All checks should be made payable to Summit County Clerk of Courts Office.

| Discovery Motions, Interrogatories, Etc |

Must be separate and not attached to the complaints.

| Pleadings and Motions |
|
Original only is required, unless service is requested. One (1) copy per party being served. Orders requiring a judge's signature should not be attached to other Pleadings. They could be missed at time of filing.

| Mandatory Order Forms |
|
Mandatory Order Forms are provided by the Clerk's Office. Contact 330-643-2211. The cost to file is $120.00. Instructions for Service, Hearing Date and Judge's signature are all required. All forms must be notarized. Service will be by Sheriff unless otherwise instructed.

Garnishment, Attachments, Aids of Execution & Wage Attachments |
|
All forms are provided by the Clerk's Office. Contact 330-643-2211. No Instruction for Service required unless special instructions for service are needed. Personal Earnings Garnishments are served by Sheriff unless instructed otherwise. All other garnishments served by regular mail unless instructed otherwise. Bank Attachments & 100% Aid of Execution filing fee is $120.00, with a $119.00 check made payable to Summit County Clerk of Courts and a $1.00 check made payable to bank. For Garnishments $120.00 check made payable to Summit County Clerk of Courts.

Forms are provided by Clerk's Office by calling 330-643-2211. The original and 3 copies (front & back) are required for filing. One witness per subpoena and Instructions for Service are required. Filing of return is required on Clerk's Docket when counsel serves subpoena. Counsel should countersign above deputy clerk's name when issuing subpoena prior to filing.

New Judgment Lien filings cost $42.50. Precipe to file Judgment Lien is required. Form provided by the Clerk's Office, call 330-643-2211. Copy of Judgment is required.

Transfer's cost $5.00. Copy of Judgment is required. Precipe to Transfer Judgment Lien is required. Form provided by the Clerk's Office, call 330-643-2211.

| Judgment from Another Court |
|
Cost is $42.50. Certificate of Judgment Lien from other court jurisdiction is required.

| Release of State of Ohio Tax, Bureau of Workers Compensation, Child Support, and City of Akron Liens |
|
Call 330-643-2211 for the cost of releasing an Ohio Department of Taxation, Bureau of Workers Compensation, Child Support and City of Akron Liens. Personal check and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) are accepted. Original Release prepared by the State Agency is required. Original Release to be kept by the Clerk, a copy will be provided to taxpayer. If filing by mail, please provide a return address, stamped envelope to receive a copy of the release.
